• Port au Prince – Haiti
  • YWAM Port au Prince was donated 30-acres by the mayor of Port au Prince. YWAM will be able to build a permanent centre there where they will be able to continue hosting YWAM and church teams, as well as individual volunteers.
  • YWAM will also partner with other housing non-profit organisations to build 1000 homes for displaced Haitians.

  • YWAM Saint Marc is continuing to build homes and will be hosting a US Airforce medical clinic for 10 days.

• YWAM Africa HIV AIDS Working Group
  • 4 – 8 October 2010 at YWAM Hopeland in Jinja, Uganda
  • The Objectives of the working group are:
    • Encouraging those who are directly involved with HIV and AIDS and giving them opportunities to share about their work with others.
    • Strengthen networking and defining ways of raising resources
    • Identifying areas of need within YWAM Africa and planning how to address those needs
    • Looking at the effect of HIV/AIDS on children and how we are responding

• YWAM Ship Tour in Australia Update
  • The YWAM Ship Pacific Link just arrived in Gladstone after spending a week in Brisbane, Australia. As with the other ports on their Eastern Australia tour they will be aiming at recruiting health professionals and volunteers for the tour of Papua New Guinea later this year.
  • Tours will be run at the Gladstone Marina of the ship and they will be having two large events at the Gladstone Sound Shell on Friday and Saturday from 7-9 pm.

• Hunting and Fishing DTS
  • YWAM Gold Coast is offering a Fishing and Hunting DTS in Australia starting in July. In addition to 12-weeks of lectures the YWAM DTS will also be engaging in quite a few different activities:
    • Outreach to schoolies on the Gold Coast
    • Running a BBQ during the Gold Coast Indy races
    • Coffee Van outreach
  • The DTS will also get to go deep sea fishing, beach fishing, estuary fishing from a boat and pig hunting.
  • They will also get to make traditional aboriginal weapons and a didgeridoo plus go 4x4ing, kayaking, camping and undergo bush survival training.

• YWAM Targu Mures in Romania
  • YWAM Targu Mures acquired a new YWAM Centre in Central Romania earlier this year.
  • YWAM Targu Mures is located in the heart of Transylvania in central Romania. They currently run a discipleship training school, a school of worship and a Call to Worship seminar. They also actively work at partnering with local churches and working with the people of the community around them. The centre also operates a coffee house called Open Caffe, which regularly hosts musical acts from Romania and around the world.
