Missionary Care Foundations Course, Sweden

From the 14 of October to the 3rd of November this year YWAM Restenas in Sweden will be running the Missionary Care Foundations Course. The course is designed to equip you to:

  • support the YWAM workers in your location to thrive and grow in their personal lives and in their ministry?
  • enable YWAM-ers to start well, move safely through difficult transitions, and finish strong?
  • help YWAM-ers who face challenges, stress or crisis?
  • avoid seeing staff leave prematurely?
  • see your staff and teams be all God wants them to be?

Missionary care is something that I feel is so important for the long term success of Youth With A Mission, and something that I have seen as lacking at some locations. Courses like the Missionary Care Foundations Course can set you up to really assist in the life of your base, and all the staff on it.

Check out the YWAM Family Ministries web-site at ywam-fmi.org to find out more about the course.

Family Ministries Forum, Tanzania

Feedback

Special thanks to Steve Goode from YWAM Mercy, which can be found at ywam-mercy.org, Caro from Mexico, and Jill Mitchell who works with Youth With A Mission in California, with outreaches into Mexico.

Steve, to answer your question, right now the last episode #101 of the YWAM News Podcast is listened to by a bit over 400 people. Caro, I am not sure where in Mexico the prison outreach is, but I’m sure that you can contact YWAM Tyler through their web-site, ywamtyler.org, to find out where. And Jill, thank you very much for your comment, it’s always great to hear that the podcast is a blessing to others.

We also heard some feedback from Phil Cunningham about some of the refugee work that YWAM is doing. He is part of a team working with refugees and migrants in San Jose, California, and you can find out more about their work at ywamsandiegobaja.org.
