YWAM Norway – The Nenets

YWAM Norway has a ministry focus on the Nenets People group in North West Russia. This week they released a documentary about their first trip to visit the Nenets people in the former Soviet Union, and the ministry that has grown out of it …

The full documentary can be viewed on the show notes at ywampodcast.com/137, as well as on the YWAM Norway YouTube Channel.

It is an amazing, and beautiful story that is well worth the 8 minutes to watch.

The story of the Nenets is also a story about one way that YWAM has been able to fulfil the vision of seeing the message of Jesus being translated into every mother tongue like we talked about at the beginning of this episode, and if you do watch the full 8 minutes documentary, you can see how they did it.

You can head over to ywam.no to find out more about their ministry, including the work they are doing with the Nenets people.

YWAM Romania Craiova Flooded!

Earlier this month we got this report about flooding from YWAM Romania Craiova …

This week in Craiova there was bad flooding, with broken trees, floating cars, damaged electricity poles, and the entire basement at the YWAM Centre there was flooded.

Because of the sewer system at the their location, plus the sewage system in the entire city, they have experienced this before, but this time was by far the worst. It was bad enough that the centre is now praying about and considering finding a new location to move to.

They are asking for our prayer, wisdom, and guidance during this time.

If you head over to their Facebook page, linked to at ywampodcast.com/137, you can follow their journey, and offer them your prayers and support.

m/v YWAM Koha Outreach Update

The m/v YWAM Koha is currently anchored at Rabi Island in Fiji, and here is an update from them.

In addition to the dental work that they are doing, they are also able to now offer custom prescription eyewear for children and adults.

Through some generous donations of reading glasses and sun glasses, they were able to secure 500 eyeglass kits from Global Vision 2020 enabling them to help individuals with personalised eye care. They are also grateful to have Dr. Martijn van den Houten, an optometrist from the Netherlands, and his wife, Fleur who are volunteering for a couple of months on the KOHA to help us pioneer this new service.

The best place to follow news from the m/v YWAM Koha is on the YWAM Ships Aotearoa Facebook page, which is linked to at ywampodcast.com/137.

YWAM Las Vegas Homeless Outreach

We talked about some of the ministry that YWAM Las Vegas does when focused on their work with victims of human trafficking in episode 135, at ywampodcast.com/135. Another ministry that they regularly engage in is outreaching to the homeless.

Here is an update from their Facebook Page.

Feeling incredibly humbled and grateful after today’s homeless outreach in Las Vegas. We were able to provide meals, and essential supplies to so many individuals in need. It’s a stark reminder of the hardships that many face daily, but also a testament to the resilience and strength of the human spirit.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time and energy today. Your compassion and dedication are truly inspiring. And to those who donated, your generosity has made a significant impact on the lives of those less fortunate.

Let’s continue to spread the love of Christ, kindness, and support to our fellow humans. Remember, we rise by lifting others.

You can find out more about the ministry that YWAM Las Vegas does by heading over to their Facebook page, which is linked to at ywampodcast.com.137.
