In September YWAM Together ran in Thailand. Reports from the gathering have been extremely positive, with participants ranging from YWAM leaders young and old, who came from many different countries, with stories of faith in action that inspired many who were there.

Phil Porter, the national director of YWAM Thailand, said that:

“Our dream and prayer was that the attendance, the worship and every aspect of the YWAM Together program would reflect the diversity of our global YWAM family, and especially the majority world. That dream was fulfilled this week and I believe it brought great joy to God’s heart!”.

The YWAM Ships Australia vessel the MV YWAM PNG was recently anchored near Goodenough, Milne Bay, Papua New Guinea. While they were there they preformed many eye surgeries …

One of the surgeries was to remove a cataract from a 57 year old woman named Margaret. Margaret has a large family whom she loves spending time with, but she has been restricted with her ability to work along side them for the last seven years due to her failing vision.

The surgery will allow Margaret to resume many of the activities that she has been unable to do due to her poor eye sight. You can read more about Margaret’s story on the YWAM Ships Australia web-site, ywamships.org.au.

On the ship’s latest deployment the surgeons also performed their 1000th eye surgery!
