3 New Classrooms at YWAM JOCUM Marromeu

In some encouraging news, back in September last year we shared about YWAM Marromeu working towards adding 6 classrooms to their primary school so they could facilitate a new high school. Well, this month we got this news from their location.

“We thank God for His provisions as we have officially completed construction on 3 new classrooms! The 2026 school year will begin soon and we are excited to have the additional classrooms! We are still needing funding to continue our school campus’ expansion in order to officially add high school to our elementary school.

If you would like to contribute towards the continued construction or sponsor students, please visit https://www.ywamjocummarromeu.org/school-building-project

So that is very exciting news from their ministry centre, and we look forward to seeing their continued growth and expansion to better serve their local area.

End Bible Poverty Outreach

As you heard in that last story from Guinea-Bissau, one of the the things that YWAM is doing around the world, and one of the legacies of Loren Cunningham, is Bible distribution and translations around the world.

For many people, an audio Bible can be the first moment God’s Word speaks clearly to them in their mother tongue.

Watch on YouTube

More than 700 million people still don’t have access to Scripture in a language they can understand, and YWAM is actively working to bridge that gap, with many partnerships with other Christian organizations like Mission Aviation Fellowship. (source)

End Bible Poverty Partnership with MAF in Ugagnda

On the isolated islands of Jaana, Kalangala and Bukasa in Lake Victoria – Africa’s largest lake, which straddles Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya – Mission Aviation Fellowship – Uganda joined forces with YWAM ‘End Bible Poverty Now’ initiative to deliver 200 Bibles in their mother tongue.

Pastor John from Jaana Island is so grateful. ‘Getting Bibles is a big blessing. People have been asking for them for years. Many people can’t afford to buy one, but today we received Bibles, and we are thankful.’

MAF’s 30-minute flight to Bukasa saved the team a dangerous 10-hour boat crossing.

You can find out more about the work that Mission Aviation Fellowship does, including their partnering with YWAM, on their web-site, maf-uk.org.

School of Missional Justice – YWAM Wiler

YWAM Wiler is running the School of Missional Justice in July.

Watch on YouTube

At the heart of the School of Missional Justice is getting to know God, His character and His ways and letting that teach us how to relate, think, act – and live. How it could be possible to make a real difference in this broken world.

This course affirms and explores the Mission of God. As followers of Jesus we are called to participate with God in His mission, and thus to proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom of God and live out its implications

We seek to pursue an integrated, holistic approach to aligning with God’s Kingdom agenda of righting relationships with Himself, others, and creation; to restoring justice; and to bringing healing to a broken world. We highlight a biblical Christian worldview and the resulting pursuit of a lifestyle of doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God in every sphere of society.

The course explores how to establish an educational model that makes disciples of children in all areas of life (intellectually, spiritually, physically, morally, socially and emotionally).
