Stories:

YWAM Samoa – Indonesia Outreach

A few weeks ago, we sent forth our dedicated team to Indonesia with a profound sense of purpose. They are a beacon of light, chosen to illuminate the Muslim world with hope and inspiration. Let’s join together in prayer, believing that the presence of our team in Indonesia is a divine assignment, and that God’s purpose will manifest through their efforts. We are confident that the impact of these Samoans will resonate far beyond borders, influencing nations and spreading positivity. May their journey be blessed, and may they be agents of transformation, touching lives and bringing about positive change in the world.

YWAM San Francisco

It’s been a cold, wet weekend here in the Tenderloin. Some of our amazing staff opened the community center overnight to let our neighbors warm up and get dry. Your gifts make it possible to bring services to unhoused and low-income neighbors in San Francisco, even more it supports the life changing relationships that are built over time by loving our neighbors.

Also in San Francisco, the city wide prayer walk has been re-scheduled until February 17 because of the nasty weather that they have been experiencing (source).

YWAM Kyiv Waves of Hope

During Waves of Hope this past summer, we repaired the windows and roof of this community center in a formerly occupied village. Now we have an ongoing active youth group. We get together, plan mercy activities around the village for the elderly and children. This was a gathering for Christmas break. We had worship, Bible story, food and building relationships. Pray for this group of young people to meet Jesus in all of His loving power, grace and hope! This is what the Waves of Hope are all about! Come join us this summer with Waves of Hope 2024!

Foundations for Christian Peacebuilding – YWAM An Cuan

In a world that is experiencing a lack of peace, looking to Jesus for solutions is the best place to start:

YWAM An Cuan is launching a new 2-week mini-school exploring peace, justice, and reconciliation. They are running it two times this year, April 21-May 3, 2024 and November 3-15, 2024 in Northern Ireland!

The Foundations for Christian Peacebuilding school gathers people from diverse backgrounds around some of life’s hardest realities to ask, what is the Good News here? Participants in the school will explore how the story of the Bible and the life of Jesus speak to the real hurt of our world. The vision of Christian Peacebuilding is to empower believers to build bridges, heal wounds, and confront injustice. There is an opportunity to begin (or continue) the journey of uncovering God’s message of hope to all people at all times.

YWAM Les Caynes is currently in the midst of developing their campus in Haiti and are actively raising money to finish the security wall around the centre. Unfortunately the security situation in Haiti is still not ideal, so the wall is important for the continued development and safety of the staff, students, and family in Haiti.

YWAM Saint Marc Projects

As we visit Haiti, we get this update from YWAM Saint Marc:

We did our de-brief on last years trade school and had our first meeting for this years school coming up very soon! We planned out the different class options we want to offer and have been meeting with teachers as well. Help them feed themselves will have lots of rice ready soon and we are excited to both buy some for our base kitchen and help them sell it to other people as well. Our first camp of the year- ‘Camp of Light’ is coming up in February and we are also preparing for our first Radikal youth group meeting of the year. God is moving and we are thankful for His provision and grace as we move forward.

The pictures in the post (and on your screen if you are watching this) show a project we are currently working on. We are fixing and building up all of our gates on campus for better security, as we are again going through a more serious period of unrest in Haiti. There are calls for a revolution and the streets/ main roads have been blocked off and unsafe all over the country this week. We want to ensure everyone who lives on and comes into our campus is as safe as possible. We also ask that you would pray for Haiti. For a peaceful resolution, for divine safety and for wisdom for all of the people in Haiti right now.

YWAM Together 2024

Our next global YWAM family gathering will be held in the heart of one of Asia’s megacities, Manila, the capital of the Philippines this September!

This will be the first YWAM global staff gathering since YWAM Tother 18 in Thailand 6 years ago. It will also be the first global YWAM family gathering since the ‘covid era’ and the graduation of our beloved founder Loren Cunningham. We are expecting to meet with God in a profound way as we gather together before Jesus as ‘one family’ of many ministries and movements.

Please have a watch and listen to this invitation from Any Byrd …

You can visit yt2024.com to find out more about YWAM Together 2024.

Biblical Motivations for Missions

Latest Best Meme

Well, once again, YWAM Fernacememez takes the win this month with one of the YWAM Memes over on Instagram.

This month’s meme from them talks about the warning, “Don’t drink the unfiltered water in the Himalayas, it’s dangerous.”. That warning then gets thrown in the fire, so we can only guess that some of their staff and students on outreach decided against following that advice …

Again, it’s an easy one to relate to for almost anyone who has gone on outreach to locations with “questionable” water quality.
